A couple of items of note as we get back to Tuesdays With Dave. By the way, the blog is nearing its 90th entry.
This journey of A Hero's Journey: Beyond Little Norway and Olympia Sports Camp turns a new page as we turn the page on another new year. Thanks so much to those who are along for the ride. The support is appreciated and I feel the steps we are taking are going to take this journey to where it was meant to be. I also feel that the support is growing.
Welcome to our new website. aherosjourney.ca. Still in its infancy, the website will add to the entertainment value of the journey and provide an easy-to- use link to everything one needs to know about the book, including how and where to buy it. Check it out!One aspect of the website is a testimonial page. When you click on testimonials you'll see a few that are already there, including a beautiful note from Olympia associate director Greg Rogers. Thanks so much for the thoughtful words Greg. I would love to gather thoughts on the book from people across the Olympia spectrum and beyond. The website will evolve in the coming weeks and months, but for now email me your thoughts at coachdools71@gmail.com and join the page!
The bat off the shoulder mentality that we have all heard about is typified in the other item of change for this process we are on. It is cool to not really know what is involved in a task that might be a dream that you would love to make a reality, but you take on the task anyway. We can all relate to the thrill of making a dream become a reality in our lives. That is a big part of being a hero of your own journey.
I have spent the last few weeks narrating an audiobook version. This process has been a real challenge and I was super excited when I finished almost 23 hours of recording my own words. It's pretty surreal to hear you words aloud and bringing to life the stories of the amazing people in the writing of this book. It's also a lot of work! I now have to edit the entire recording and that is yet another part of this journey that I am excited about. I have no idea as to when this will be done and when the audiobook will actually be out but suffice to say you'll be the first to hear!
